About CryptoToolbox
CryptoToolbox is a free platform built for cryptocurrency investors and enthusiasts who want accurate, easy-to-use tools to make better financial decisions. Whether you are exploring Bitcoin for the first time or managing a diversified crypto portfolio, our calculators and guides are designed to help you understand your investments — with no account, no paywall, and no data harvesting.
Who We Are
CryptoToolbox is an independent project founded in 2025 and run solo by uki — a cryptocurrency investor and software developer who builds the tools they wished existed: fast, accurate, and free of the upsells and sign-up walls common across crypto websites. CryptoToolbox is not affiliated with any exchange, token, or staking provider, which means our guides can describe the real trade-offs of each option honestly instead of steering you toward a paid partner. Our Mission
The cryptocurrency space can be overwhelming. Between volatile markets, complex tax rules, and dozens of staking options, making informed decisions requires access to reliable data and clear explanations. Our mission is to bridge that gap by providing free, no-signup-required tools that anyone can use.
Editorial Standards & How We Create Our Content
Accuracy matters most when money is involved. Every guide and calculator explanation on CryptoToolbox is researched and written by people, not auto-generated, and follows a consistent process:
- Primary sources first. Staking mechanics, reward rates, lock-up periods, and protocol rules are checked against official protocol documentation, network dashboards, and reputable data providers before publishing.
- Clearly dated and reviewed. Each guide shows a "last updated" date. Because crypto changes quickly, we re-review time-sensitive figures (such as APR and unbonding periods) and treat all rates as approximate, encouraging readers to verify the live number before acting.
- Transparent about uncertainty. Where a figure varies or a network change is still rolling out, we say so rather than presenting a single number as fact.
- Corrections welcome. If you spot an error, please contact us — we update content promptly.
What We Offer
Our suite of tools covers the most common needs of crypto investors: profit and loss calculations, dollar-cost averaging simulations, staking reward estimates, tax liability projections, mining profitability, a real-time converter, portfolio rebalancing, backtesting, and risk scoring. We currently publish 11 calculators & tools and 9 in-depth staking guides covering major proof-of-stake networks, with real-time data for dozens of cryptocurrencies.
Our staking guides cover Ethereum, Solana, Cardano, Polkadot, Avalanche, Cosmos, NEAR, Tezos, and BNB Chain. Each one explains how that specific network's staking works — including the details that differ between chains, like whether slashing applies, how long unbonding takes, and which liquid staking options exist — then walks you through the setup process step by step.
Data Sources
Live prices are powered by the CoinGecko API, historical price data by CryptoCompare, and on-chain balances (for our wallet tools) by public blockchain explorers. All data is cached and refreshed regularly to provide fast, reliable results. Market data is provided for informational purposes and may differ slightly from the rate on any given exchange.
How CryptoToolbox Is Funded
CryptoToolbox is free to use and intends to stay that way. To cover hosting and development costs, the site is supported by display advertising. Ads never change the numbers our calculators produce or the opinions in our guides, and we keep tools free of sign-up walls. We do not sell your personal data.
